Susan Wakeen's Eve luncheon

The presentation was given by a representative named Uhla. She was a nervous speaker, but got out her slide presentation of Susan's evolution as a doll artist. Susan continues to take multiple classes to improve her craft. Most interesting item to me was a Crime Investigation Sculpting class that enabled people to recreate a visual likeness of a victim from a skeleton. Some of the attendees had a little problem with this, as the skeleton being recreated was a child from a crime scene. 'Desert Rose' is an auburn haired Eve wearing an outfit to attend her friends bridal luncheon. Pastel pink rose shantung skirt with a soft netting overlay, white silk halter top with seed pearls, pink chiffon shawl, woven white hat with white organdy bow and pink/white silk flowers, wedding cake inspired handbag (fabulous), white sling shoes, pearl earrings, COA. Came with party favours of a pink scarf and an Eve size camera designed by Uhla.

Cissette
Gale Jarvis did a question and answer game, so attendees could win wonderful prizes. Very generous with Outfits and dressed dolls. Judges had a real job trying to tell who had their hands up first in the huge crowd. I won a Market Meeting outfit for providing Paris' last name...........Williams.
I was very pleased since I did not have this outfit yet. Some of our convention information stated that Alex would be wearing a matching outfit to the centerpiece doll, so I was very excited to see Cissette in a beautiful black evening gown. The gloves and necklace were presented in a little Alex box as table souvenir. Event doll was designed by Marianne Graf, who was present for signing. She also designed a one of a kind Alex in "Streak of Luck" and a "Casino Cissy" that were given away in a drawing. MADC had prototypes of 2003 Paris, Alex, and Jadde dolls. They will be available for viewing at the Manufacturers Showcase.
