Magic Moments Banquet

The Gene Banquet was very well done. Mel was his usual charming self
and did a nice presentation with slides at a fast pace (he had been asked to keep it short!).

The centerpiece Table dolls were platinum simply genes seated on directors chairs.
They were up for grabs for a mere 60.00.

After Dinner the raffle was started. It was really well organized.
Patsy Moyer gathered volunteers and had a steady line of raffle items
streaming up to the podium where tickets were being drawn.

Among the huge amount of raffle items were a Cissy, a pink limited edition FAO
Moments to Remember Doll, and one of the Alex table dolls.

It was fun to watch the reactions of the winners. The woman who was doing the raffle
was a hoot and should be a standup comic. A winner would be called. A volunteer
would trot off to the winner, prize in hand.
I was one of the lucky ones winning a Betsy Mc Call doll !


Next came the moment we all were waiting for.
We got our doll: Moments to Remember. Classic circa 1958.
